A Year of Sword and Bored! Thanks for all of the listens. On this episode, we talk about how weird and delightful THE FIFTH ELEMENT is, poorly hum the music from a lot of these movies, how KRULL is immensely buoyed by Richard Horner's score, set dressing and dreamy design, how DEATHSTALKER AND THE WARRIORS FROM HELL is just atrocious, and how we're glad to be able to do this with each other for all of you!

On this episode, we're joined by Lars' Friend Rex, we talk about the Pretty good BRAVE, I regale with tales of the craziest festival I've ever heard of, how CAST A DEADLY SPELL is a great idea hampered by execution, Eleanor runs through the recording booth multiple times, how THE WIZARDS OF LOST KINGDOM is a big ol' pile of nuthin', how Roger Corman is one of the most infuriating characters in film! #swordandbored

We are back from our Holiday Hiatus with three themed movies this time. We talk about the pretty okay KNIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, comment about moving and why time moves weirdly, the godawful NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS, swords in ponds and pitch our own Hallmark movies, and the utterly, astoundingly wonderful KLAUS!

Hey this is a fun little conversation we had during the recording of episode 13 that didn't quite fit with the theme, but I didn't wanna waste it, so consider it a little bonus.

We're back with what might be the most trying time we've had so far! We talk about life, our hobbies, the monolith of Disney and ALADDIN(2019) and I shoehorn my love of Edgar Wright and Mass Effect, we discuss The Asylum and the utterly, utterly abysmal LORD OF THE ELVES, and try to find something, anything worth talking about in it!

In this remaster/rereleased episode because I didn't format the episode properly, we're joined by Rank And Vile's Quincy, talking about Dungeons and Dragons, the aptly titled THE WEIRD MAN and how it's a visual feast, how Quincy and Lars are cowards for not liking VAN HELSING even if I say it's kind of crap, McFarland Toys and how they're only good sometimes, the least Terry Gilliam movie possible in THE BROTHERS GRIMM and how it's just...meh!

Lars and Luke, Brothers in Arms, talking about every fantasy film they've ever seen, want to see, what makes them tick, what makes them not work, what's better, what's worse.
What we define as a fantasy: If it's readily apparent, if someone could or does pull out a sword and it doesn't require additional context to make sense, it's a fantasy. Raiders of the Lost Ark isn't a fantasy. The Mummy is.
This arbitrary definition will be used and ignored at a moments notice for comedy.
